NSFI Joins National Foresters Conference to Strengthen Environmental Programs
Iloilo City, Philippines – Nature’s Spring Foundation (NSFI) participated in the 2025 National Conference of the Society of Filipino Foresters, held in Iloilo City on September 10-14, with over 1,500 forestry professionals from across the country in attendance. Themed “Promoting Wood Self-Sufficiency and Biodiversity Conservation,” the annual gathering served as an important platform for exchanging knowledge on current trends, research, technologies, and practices in sustainable forest management.
Representing NSFI was Mr. Ramil Rendal, RPF, the organization’s Forestry specialist, who engaged with fellow experts from government agencies, NGOs, and private sector groups. Among the key networking outcomes was a strengthened collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), NSFI’s long-time partner in forest protection and conservation.
Participation in the national conference aligns with NSFI’s ongoing capacity-building strategy, especially in bolstering its flagship WATER Reforestation Project. By engaging in national conversations and aligning with broader policy frameworks, NSFI continues to affirm its role as a key non-profit stakeholder in environmental advocacy.
NSFI looks forward to deepening partnerships at both the local and national levels, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable forestry and environmental resilience.
