NSFI and IVEND Discuss Possible Collaboration on Eco-Livelihoods
On July 10, 2025, representatives from Nature’s Spring Foundation Inc. (NSFI) met with the Independent Vendors for Empowerment and Development (IVEND) for a courtesy meeting at 2:00 PM, with the goal of exploring potential collaboration on environmental and humanitarian efforts. In attendance were Ms. Robyn Raymonde B. Lacson and Ms. Proleta Nuñeza Gomez from NSFI, and Ms. Wilma P. Cabo, President of I-VEND FED, along with other presidents and vice presidents of IVEND’s member associations.
IVEND, a federation of sidewalk vendors and small traders based in Cebu City, comprises 30 local associations operating across both the North and South districts. It is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is a partner of the Visayas Disaster Risk Reduction Network, Inc. (VDRN).
The meeting served as an initial dialogue between NSFI and IVEND to exchange perspectives and identify areas of shared interest, including community livelihood, environmental conservation, and public awareness efforts. Both organizations expressed enthusiasm for continuing the conversation, recognizing the value of partnerships that center community voices and sustainable practices.
