NSFI CARES #BangonNorthernCebu
In light of the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck on September 30, 2025, and was strongly felt in Cebu Province, particularly in its northern areas, NSFI has reached out to its beneficiaries through “𝙋𝘼𝙂-𝙆𝙐𝙈𝙐𝙎𝙏𝘼” efforts to assess their well-being in the aftermath of the earthquake.
The foundation has conducted needs assessments among scholars, alumni, and partner elderly homes. We carried out the assessments despite challenges in accessibility to determine the immediate needs of those affected with the help of our partner community-based organizations and our NSFI staff.
Planning is currently underway to provide sustained assistance based on the gathered information, ensuring that the support aligns with the specific needs of the communities impacted. This is part of NSFI’s strategy to ensure its beneficiaries have access to the most essential resources to continue living a life with dignity and security even in uncertain times.
