Nature’s Spring Foundation holds Post-Relief Assessment with VDRN after Northern Cebu Earthquake Relief
Key stakeholders from Nature’s Spring Foundation and the VDRN, Inc.- Visayas Disaster-Risk Reduction Network (VDRN) gathered on Wednesday, November 12, to conduct a post-relief assessment. Both organizations reviewed the effectiveness of the earthquake relief and identified improvements for future disaster operations.
Organizers and volunteer representatives from VDRN, along with NSFI facilitators, discussed and documented successes, good practices, challenges, and areas for improvement across all phases of the relief operations. VDRN shared their field stories and experiences during the relief. The session also identified lessons learned and ways to strengthen the partnership for future implementation.
The post-relief assessment forms part of Nature’s Spring Foundation’s process to document and improve its programs. This enhances the sustainability of its relief projects. NSFI recognizes that while relief operations are short-term, the experiences gathered from partners reveal insights to develop more sustainable disaster resilience strategies that foster long-term preparedness, prevention, and mitigation.
