NSFI and Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency Seal Partnership to Champion Volunteerism for Sustainable Development
JULY 2025 – Nature’s Spring Foundation, Inc. (NSFI) and the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on July 4, 2025, at BAI Hotel, Mandaue City, marking a significant milestone in their shared commitment to institutionalize volunteerism as a catalyst for community development and nation-building.
The signing ceremony brought together voices from both institutions. NSFI Senior Program Manager Ms. Proleta N. Gomez spoke about the importance of building partnerships grounded in shared purpose. “Makiglambigit—more than just working together—it means really connecting with others, walking alongside them, not ahead,” she said. Echoing this, PNVSCA Executive Director Mr. Donald James D. Gawe, CESO III, followed with reflections on the role of collaboration in national development, adding, “This is more than just a ceremonial commitment—it is a shared vision, a unified call to action.”
This collaboration brings together NSFI’s on-the-ground experience in education, health, environmental sustainability, and disaster preparedness with PNVSCA’s national network and expertise in volunteer mobilization. By combining NSFI’s programmatic depth with PNVSCA’s capacity to engage and coordinate volunteers across sectors, the partnership creates a stronger platform for delivering community-driven initiatives that are both responsive and sustainable.
Through this agreement, both organizations reaffirm their commitment to volunteerism as a driver of systemic change—demonstrating that by working toward common goals and responding to real community needs, we move closer to improving the lives of every Filipino, not just in principle, but in practice. ###
